            Applications are invited for the post of LECTURER in Nursing on contract basis at this Institute College of Nursing for a period of six months from candidates having the following qualifications:

I)EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:      

ESSENTIAL:

1.        Master’s degree in Nursing from a recognized University or equivalent from the             respective discipline.

2.        Should possess 3 years teaching experience

II)NO. OF POSTS- 06

            1.         M.Sc (Nursing) (Medical Surgical Nursing)- 01 Post

            2.         M.Sc (Nursing) (Child Health Nursing – Pediatric Nursing)- 01 Post

            3.         M.Sc (Nursing) (Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing – Maternity Nursing) -02 Posts      4.            M.Sc (Nursing) (Community Health Nursing) -01 Post        

            5.         M.Sc (Nursing) (Psychiatric Nursing – Mental Health Nursing) - 01 Post

* The number of vacancies is subject to increase/decrease at the discretion of Director.

III)SALARY                           :  Rs.37,500/- Consolidated/Month.

IV)CONTRACT DURATION           :  For six months only.

V)MODE OF SELECTION   :  Written Test only

VI)AGE:  45 years.

            Eligible Candidates may submit their application in the prescribed format available in the Institute website along with the attested copies of certificates & testimonials to the Director, JIPMER, Puducherry-06 on or before 11-08-2012.

            Application incomplete in any respect or received after due date i.e. 11.08.2012 will be summarily rejected.  The Institute will not be responsible for any postal delays and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

          2. Hall tickets for the eligible candidates will be dispatched to their email id only.

          3. Hall tickets for the eligible candidates will not be sent by Post.

           4. The Written test will consist of a paper with 100 MCQs with single best response type out of which 40 questions will be from  Basic sciences and 60 questions from the Specialty concerned. There will also be negative marking for wrong answers. One fourth mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

5. The written test will be conducted on 26.08.2012 at this Institute.
