Qualification:
Master’s Degree in any branch of Atmospheric Sciences / Oceanography /Mathematics / Physics / Geophysics / Geology or equivalent from a recognized university/Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks.

1. The qualification regarding experience is relax able at the discretion of Secretary MoES in the cases of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection, the Secretary, MoES is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies.
2. Doctorate Degree will count as 3 years experience.
3. Age is relaxation in various categories including Government Servant, shall be in accordance with the orders issued by Government form time to time.
