Recruitment Notice : Constable (Driver) – 2012
Application are invited from male Indian Citizens who fulfill the following eligibility criterion for filling up the vacancies in the Rank of Constable Driver in the pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 in the Grade Pay of Rs 2000/- and other allowances admissible to Central Govt.
Constable (Driver) Total Posts 824 (SC 241, ST 72, OBC 118, GEN 311 EX SE 82)
Age Limit : 18 to 28 years (Cut off date for age will be 1st August 2012)
Application Fee : Application fee will be Rs. 50/ for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories. No fee will be charged from SC/ST and Ex Servicemen Candidates. the candidates shall attach the non refundable Bank Draft drawn in favor of authority mentioned in column no 4.
Relaxation : There will be relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC ( 5 Years for the SC/ST & 3 Years for OBC)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or Equivalent from a Recognized Board/University.
Must Possess valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
Standards of Physical Measurements:
Hight : (i) 170cm for all categories shown below.(ii) Minimum height 165cm belongings to hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himanchal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Leh and Ladakh, Kashmir Valley and North East.
Chest: (i) 80cm (UN-Expanded), 85cm (Expanded) for all except the categories shown below.
(ii) 76-81cm for ST, Tribal/Adivasi including Mizo and Naga Candidates.
(ii) 76-81cm for ST, Tribal/Adivasi including Mizo and Naga Candidates.
Weight : Proportionate to Height as per Medical Standard.
Mode of Selection : The Selection Process shall consist of following stages :
1. Documentation
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
4. Written Exam
5. Driving/Technical Test (Trade Test)
6. Final Medical Exam
7. Review Medical Examination
